The term ‘education’ encompasses more than just knowledge and knowing. It is a harmonious blend of academia, arts, sports, emotions, attitudes, creativity, nature and life itself! And in the world we have built today, the one who is adept in all these areas is the one who succeeds.

Jogeshwari Education Society with the said philosophy begin its borne voyage in the ocean of academics with just 16 students in the year 1932 at Saraswati Baug Jogeshwari East with the ideology to nourish and nurture the potential of Gowd Saraswat Brahmin community students to the extent of perfection by starting primary school education in one of the residential blocks from 1st to 10th standard during British rule back then. With the untiring attempts of managing committee, constant support of parents and zealous performance of our students this small beginning became big and touched the pinnacle of success.

With the rising demand for education, JES started Arvind Gandbhir High School in the year 1956 which was constructed from the generous donation from Mr. Gandbhir and the school was named in the loving memory of his son Arvind who left for the heavenly abode at a very young age. As JES progressed in this journey, we began to fill out our institutional identity by starting Secondary section in 1974, and JES picked up a number of markers along the way. The academic year 1988-89 was the year of achievement as AGHS student Mr. Mangesh Mhaskar stood first in SSC Board Examination in the entire state of Maharashtra by securing 96%. Within a very short time span, AGHS became a very prestigious and renowned school in the vicinity. Being a secretary of JES, I feel very proud to say that I am the alumni of this school. Our school gave lot of rankers over the years I really feel proud to say that out of 9 governing board committee members, 8 members are alumni of AGHS.

Eighty-seven years into fulfilling the vision and mission of JES by aiming to equip the students to push the boundaries of knowledge while sensitizing them to the need for compassion and integrity as individuals and global citizens, JES is faced with a new call.

At a time when the world is faced with an explosion of knowledge and technological innovations, the call is to move into more experimental and innovative territories of educational system. In the year 2009, JES achieved another milestone by starting JES College of Commerce, Science and IT, FYJC, FYB.Com, FYBMS. The college was greatly expanded in 2012 by starting BAF and today we have Junior Section FYJC & SYJC with Science and Commerce stream including Bifocal and degree section of B.com, BMS, BAF, B.sc IT functioning very successfully.

At a time when the world is faced with an explosion of knowledge and technological innovations, the call is to move into more experimental and innovative territories of educational system. Therefore, we try to create an atmosphere of reverence for education and a healthy environment where academics, sports and co-curricular Facilities mould our students and motivate them to be the brightest and the best. In order to do this, the school works towards inculcating certain values in the students in order to enrich their mind and spirit and also to develop essential moral attributes like truthfulness, courtesy, generosity, compassion, justice, love and trustworthiness in them.

As a Secretary, I feel proud to say that my lofty dream of a quality institution is taking shape through JES by increasing the number of students from 750 to 3300 coming from Primary Marathi school, AGHS, Junior college and degree college of commerce, science and IT and JES English School.

Our AGHS is headed by Mrs. Maya Pangam, Principal; JES English School runs successfully under the guidance of Mrs. Kavita Singhi, Principal. Our Junior Section is led by Principal Dr. Sneha Raikar and Degree Section is managed by Dr. Prashant Shelar. I feel good to say that JES is best equipped with all technological aids which our students acquire and imbibe for their bright future. With best infrastructure, techno-savvy ambience, latest gadgets to equip one to stride with competitive fervor, ever increasing new job oriented courses, career-counselling and highly enthused qualified teachers - we earnestly endeavour to help you in realizing your dreams and make you better human beings.

We at JES aim at fostering that type of education which can develop our students’ capability to enhance maximize our composite culture, strengthen integrated India and peaceful world. The Management, Parents, Students, Teaching and Non-Teaching Fraternity of JES are a Team and complement each other’s efforts. We understand that Education is not just a process of giving knowledge for a high profiled job but a lifelong process which creates an understanding of moral and ethical values to guide and make our students morally upright citizens of the country. We hope that the long list of distinguished alumni who are serving judiciary, administration, education, corporate, politics etc. would galvanize the youth into positive direction for the development of society.

I have always believed that, “Excellence is never an accident, it’s always the result of high intention, sincere efforts, intelligent direction and skillful execution.” These words of wisdom best describe the present state of JES.

I welcome parents and students to be part of JES family to share common ideals and aspirations as we build through a challenging and enriching educational experience for our students. The students are taught to study in an atmosphere of love and unity where each student sees himself or herself as a member of one global family, free from the prejudices of ethnicities, nationalities, class and religion dogmas. With the support of Principals, Teachers, Non-Teaching Staff, Parents and Students we will become the best Educational Institute in India...
